Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK)Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK) is leading the reform of initial teacher/tutor/trainer education in England (ITTTE), as part of the further education workforce reforms.
LLUK has produced a guidance document for awarding institutions on teacher roles and initial teacher training qualifications, including generic and literacy, numeracy and ESOL teaching qualifications.
LLUK is also responsible for developing units of asessment, which make up the new Skills for Life and generic teaching qualifications, as well as new professional standards for teacher/ tutor/ trainer education in the lifelong learning sector.

Centres for Excellence in Teacher Training Centres for Excellence in Teacher Training (CETT) are networks of partnerships of organisations involved in ITT and CPD in the learning and skills sector. The size of individual CETTs varies from a CETT with 17 partners to one with over 50 with the majority with membership in the twenties. Currently the total number of partners is 288.
CETTs operate in different areas in England. Most of the CETTs are led by universities; two are led by colleges and two by other organisations in the learning and skills sector. The Centre for Excellence in Yorkshire and Humber is HUDCETT.
