The JISC Regional Support Centre works with the ACL/ PCDL sector. In addition to the services listed below, wework closely with NIACE to support the wider national ACL e-Learning strategy and E-Guides programme.

Strategic Support

The JISC RSC Yorkshire & Humber supports the strategic development and implementation of e-learning/ILT within ACL organisations. This may be through advice and guidance with all aspects of e-Learning, meeting with senior management teams to discuss e-learning and integration into wider development plans or simply ensuring the ACL sector is kept informed of national initiatives.

ACL/PCDL is unique in its approach to community provision. We aim to support technology across the whole community learning experience, rather than just in the classroom.

Focused Support

This can be in the form of:

• Support for providers developing or updating their e-learning strategy at a curriculum or strategic level
• Regional forums to facilitate an active ACL e-Learning group in the region
• Regional training events to support managers and e-guides
• Helpdesk facility
• Mailing Lists for discussion groups
• E-guides support
• Staff Development, which may be delivered by JISC RSC YH staff or cascaded or brokered
